Wótakuye Gathering for Wakaŋ Tipi

Wakaŋ Tipi Awaŋyaŋkapi invites you to join us for our annual gathering of friends and supporters to celebrate our relationships that honor and protect Wakaŋ Tipi. This annual fundraiser, formerly known as “Keeping Up with the Creek”, has been re-named as our new organization name rolled out earlier this year.

This event will begin with a prayer song from one of our Indigenous youth program leaders and an opening song from a local Dakota drum, Imnizaska. Dinner will be provided by Trickster Tacos, and you’ll enjoy a zero-proof cocktail bar and a silent auction. We will also be debuting a short film that speaks to one of our central cultural values, wótakuye (kinship), and its role in our work.

Registration for all attendees is required.

Although there is no ticket price, this is our biggest fundraiser of the year! Suggested donations are $125 per person or $1,000 per table.
