SUMMARY:Run with Respect
DESCRIPTION:Join a community of runners motivated to protect and heal the environment by restoring land to the stewardship of Tribal Nations and Indigenous leadership. \nMeet representatives of Owámniyomni Okhódayapi and ReNew Earth Running at the Water Works Park Pavilion (across from Stone Arch Bridge). We’ll take time to honor Haha Wakpa (the Mississippi River) and discuss the significance of Owámniyomni (St. Anthony Falls) before departing on an informal 5k run along the riverfront. \nThis series calls on community members to run with the land instead of on the land\, to care for land and water as a relatives\, and to develop their own reciprocal relationship with the River. \nAll abilities welcome. Walking\, jogging or running. \nRegistration requested\, but not required.
